Dr. Italo Linfante, the man who is rumoured to be responsible for claims that Pogba’s Manchester United medical had been postponed, has strongly denied any kind of involvement.
Dr. Italo Linfante of the Miami Cardiac and Vascular Institute was alleged to be responsible for Pogba’s medical examination, according to a report published by AS, the Spanish tabloid.
AS claim it was Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola’s instruction for Linfante that he will not have to cut short his holiday in Italy and return to Miami to carry out a medical as the deal was yet to be completed.
Linfante, however, has ruled out his any kind of involvement in this matter, when he was asked to verify the media reports on Twitter he said this.

“I have no idea what this is all about,” he tweeted, in response to one user who asked whether he was scheduled to carry out Pogba’s medical.
When asked by another whether AS’s story was true, he replied: “They are not talking about me, maybe another Dr. Linfante?”

According to AS’ report, the Linfante in question works at Miami’s Jackson Hospital, the city’s major teaching hospital.
But, Dr. Italo Linfante’s current place of work is the Miami Cardiac and Vascular Institute.
It is believed that Pogba’s long-awaiting move to Old Trafford is being held due to Raiola’s £20m fee, which neither United or Juventus, Pogba’s current club, willing to pay.
Pogba would become Jose Mourinho’s third signing since his appointment as United’s new manager in May, following the arrivals of Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
The Guardian reports United have tabled an improved £92m offer for the Juventus midfielder.
But it has been straightaway rejected with Juventus informing United that they are after closer to £100m as the Serie A champions attempt to extract the best possible financial deal.
With agent Mino Raiola’s £20m windfall included and the Frenchman’s £11m-a-year salary, United could end up paying out £175m over the five years of his contract.
