Paulo Dybala To Manchester United: Club In Negotiation To Sign Argentine As Cristiano Ronaldo Looks To Quit Old Trafford

With Cristiano Ronaldo looking likely to leave Old Trafford, Manchester United are reportedly in negotiations to sign up Argentina star Paulo Dybala. The former Juventus attacker now a free agent and searching for a new club.

The Argentine was expected to join Juventus’ bitter rivals Inter Milan last month. However, the move has reportedly collapsed as per multiple reports. Inter were close to agreeing a move for Dybala, as was confirmed by their CEO.

In May, Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta had said, “The hope is that Dybala can play with us at Inter next season”. However, Marotta has now confirmed that the deal is off.

“Dybala’s part of the free agent market- he’s and he was one of the opportunities., but we’ve already completed our attack with very good players,” Marotta recently said. Clearly, Romelu Lukaku’s arrival from Chelsea has changed the scenario for Inter.

Amidst all these, Sky Sports have claimed that United have pounced on the opportunity to snap up the free agent as their next signing. The Red Devils have completed their first signing in Tyrell Malacia and are now looking to further bolster their squad.

Manchester United eyeing Paulo Dybala:

With not much time left before the next season gets underway, Manchester United are eyeing to sign up Paulo Dybala. New manager Erik ten Hag has demanded more attacking signing and Dybala has emerged as a potential target.

United are also negotiating with Ajax for Brazilian winger Antony’s acquisition. Ajax, however, are not willing to let their star man go. As per Sky Sports , United are now looking at Dybala as an alternative.

Mostly deployed as a second striker, Dybala could play as a winger as well. The 28-year-old scored an impressive 115 goals and provided 48 assists in 293 appearances for Juventus.

Dybala could be a versatile addition for United as far as their attack is concerned. Moreover, with Cristiano Ronaldo submitting a request to leave the club, Dybala could just be his replacement at Old Trafford.

On top of that, Paulo Dybala would save United from spending an enormous fee to strengthen their front line. The Argentine plies his trade on the right flank, where United currently are short on options. Dybala could solve United’s right-wing problems as well.

Nonetheless, reports tell that the negotiations are at early stages between Dybala and United. The following weeks will be crucial if any deal is to be struck between the two parties.
