Brazilian Legend will be the in the stands at Anfield to watch Liverpool vs Man United clash
Without any doubt, Liverpool vs Manchester United is the standout fixture of the English football and it often attracts worldwide attention. These two clubs meet this Sunday and star studded guest list is being readied for the clash.
Often regarded as world’s best ever player, Pele will be the guest of honour at Anfield this Sunday when Liverpool battle Manchester United for the coveted top4 finish this season.
The occasion would get even special with former 3-time World Cup winner Pele in attendance. Pele will come to the game as the global ambassador for SUBWAY. Brazilian legend will be honoured on the pitch during half-time.
Daniel Sturridge is a huge admirer of Pele and claims that the Brazlian legend is the inspiration behind him becoming a professional footballer. The pair starred in an ad-campaign for SUBWAY last year and will meet each other ahead of the all-important clash.
It will be interesting to see if United fans sing their famous “White Pele” chant on Wayne Rooney. The Man United striker is famously nick-named White Pele by the club’s fans and a chant such as that will draw the great man’s interest for sure.
Both teams come to the game with good form behind their back. Home side are unbeaten since the New Year and have collected the most (26) points this year.
Manchester United, meanwhile will come in to the game on the back of an impressive 3-0 win over Tottenham ending doubts over Van Gaal’s side’s ability to play fluid football.
Liverpool are currently 2 points behind Manchester United at 5th place and Brendan Rodgers is eyeing nothing but a win for the Anfield side if they want to wrestle the 4th spot from their bitter rivals Manchester United.
