Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has revealed that he is unsure of Sergio Aguero’s future at the club.
The Argentine is one of the finest strikers in the world but has when down the pecking order in the recent weeks under Pep.
The Spanish tactician has preferred young striker Jesus Gabriel ahead of Aguero since the former joined the club in the January transfer window.
The Brazilian striker has starred in his first few games as he has already been an instant hit in the Premier League. However, the manager has insisted about speaking to Aguero but it remains to be seen where the 28-year old will go in the summer.
Both Chelsea and Paris Saint Germain are keen on signing him as the Blues are looking to find a replacement for Costa who is yet again linked with a move to Atletico Madrid in the summer.
While French giants PSG are looking for a suitable replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic and signing Aguero would provide one of the finest striking duos in Europe with Edinson Cavani at the peak of his powers this season.
Guardiola said: ‘I would like [Aguero] to stay but I don’t know what is going to happen.
‘I don’t know. I was so clear with Sergio [when I spoke to him].’
Despite being predominantly benched in the recent weeks, Aguero is City’s leading scorer with 18 goals and the second best scorer is Raheem Sterling with just 7.
Manchester City have got back to winning ways in the recent weeks and a win against Bournemouth away would help them secure second place in the league and will move them eight points close to league leaders Chelsea.
