Valencia wants Pellegrini as their next boss

After Jose’s sacking, the top club managers were alerted as every one of them has been rumoured to be shown the exit, soon. Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has been reportedly rumoured to be replaced by Bayern Munich’s Pep Guardiola. Pep officially declared a few days back that his time at the German club is done and he’s making way for an exit.

The club wasted no time in finding their next gaffer as they announced the arrival of Carlo Ancelotti as their new manager for the year 2016. Pep is most likely to take over the Citizens in 2016 as the boss.

Manuel believes that this news will not adversely affect the players as the team plays selflessly and focuses on the club as a whole. Pellegrini himself insists he is focused on trying to guide the club to silverware this season and he feels the players will also continue to adopt a professional attitude.

‘’I don’t think players (only) work for the manager – they work for the group, themselves, because they want to win,” he said.

“You have a good connection (with the players) and that is the most important thing to be a good manager.’’

“But I don’t think that a professional player will have any problems if he is listening or reading about things that may happen next year.’’

“If they do they are not professional players, they are not top players. So I am absolutely sure nobody in the squad has any problems or doubts about what we’re doing and after that we’ll see what happens in the future.”

‘’I don’t know the word pressure or afraid. In this line of work you will never know the future, if you win or lose,” he added.

“It’s never your decision so you never know. Look at Chelsea, three months ago nobody could have known this would happen.’’

‘’So you don’t think about that. You must work, try to work well, win titles and win games.’’

“I will know exactly what will happen in the future with myself at the right moment, but at this minute I’m not thinking about talking about my future.

“I’m thinking about winning the games, trying to finish this season and the four competitions we’re involved in and to win titles. After that it doesn’t depend on you.’’

Pellegrini’s contract dies in 2017, but it does not seem likely that the manager will last at the club until then. If sources are to be believed then Pep Guardiola will be announced as the manager by January or latest by the end of this season.
