So finally the “Paul Pogba to Manchester United” saga has come to an end as the midfielder has officially completed his return to the Manchester club.
After back to back offers for the Frenchman from various clubs this summer, Juventus were immovable from the asking price. But is it easy to reject an alluring offer of £89million? No. This is how it all ended as Pogba re-joined the Red Devils from Juventus, and it cost them £89million.
In his interview with MUTV, Pogba said:
“It was like I’d just come back home,”
“I just went for a holiday, looks like I went for a holiday. It’s just a great feeling, to be honest. I think it’s destiny.
“I always had this United thing in my heart and that’s why I came back. I’m happy, just happy.
“I went to play somewhere else and I came back, I would say, as a person, as an adult.”
The Serie A champions Juventus have officially announced that Manchester United have broken the world-record transfer fee by signing Paul Pogba.
It has been a busy summer transfer window for Jose Mourinho and Co, after ‘The Special one’ signing the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Eric Bailly, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan and obviously Paul Pogba – the icing on the cake!
In a statement, Juventus announced:
“Juventus Football Club can today confirm that Paul Pogba has completed a move to Manchester United for a fee of €105million to be paid in two financial years.
“The consideration may increase by €5 million on achieving given conditions in the course of the duration of the contract.”
After Pogba’s arrival, Jose is reportedly all set to trim down the Red Devils squad, and The Telegraph claim, Juan Mata, Daley Blind, and Marcos Rojo are on his “To the door” list.
