Premier League rechaes its finale with final day of the season playing host to a remarkable relegation battle between Hull City and Newcastle United. Going in to their games today, Hull needed a victory regardless of the result in Newcastle United’s match St James park.
Hull City’s job was not made easy as they had to come up against Manchester United, while Newcastle United were taking on West Ham.
Only hope for Hull City was Newcastle United’s recent run of form where they have only managed to get 1 points from the last 30 available.
Hull did make the most of their chances against Manchester United but their attempts failed to find the goals and they were left to ponder over the missed chances.
Newcastle United ended whatever hopes Hull City had with a goal from Mousa Sissoko. Newcastle United fans were elated to see an unexpected win at home. Soon their lead was doubled by none other than Jonas Gutierrez.
Gutierrez battled his way back from the cancer and now he was the man who scored the goal which guaranteed the safety for his side.
Meanwhile, Hull City failed to get a win against Manchester United despite the Red Devils going down to 10 men after Marouane Fellaini was sent off for a harsh tackle of Paul Mcshanne.
The results meant, Hull city are now back to the championship after maintaining their tag as the Premier League team status for 1 season.
