France international Loic Remy could be up for grabs this month but only if his club Chelsea are successful in bringing Alexandre Pato to London.

According to The Sun, 3 Premier League clubs are keen to acquire the former QPR striker who has been unable to establish a place in the Chelsea starting-XI ever since he signed for the club in 2014 with Crystal Palace leading the race for his signature. Eagles boss Alan Pardew is desperate for a high-profile striker and has also had his eye on former Arsenal duo Emmanuel Adebayor and Nicklas Bendtner.

But his first preference is Loic Remy and the Englishman would move for Remy, 29, should the France international come onto the market.

Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins has also identified the former Marseille striker as a target and Remy’s former club Newcastle are also keen on bringing him back to St James’ Park.

The Frenchman, who has hit three goals for Chelsea this season, has told pals he loved his time with the Toon and would consider a return.

Steve McLaren’s struggling Newcastle side need a new striker and the signing of Remy would definitely be a big boost for the Toons who are currently occupying one of the relegation spots.

Remy has always played a bit-part role at Chelsea and his injury problems this season have made his Chelsea career all the more disappointing. Remy had taken the Premier League by storm with his displays for Newcastle but he has not been able to replicate the same form for the Blues.

Loic Remy would be better off if he moves to Crystal Palace because they are in relatively better position compared to Newcastle or Swansea who have a high probability of going down this season and its no surprise that Palace are frontrunners for his signature. Chelsea’s deal for Pato hasn’t been completed yet and Remy might have a bigger role to play for Chelsea if they are unable to sign the Brasilian.
