EPL Team of the Week 8: Man City and Arsenal dominate the XI
Game week 8 of the English Premier League concluded last night with a bang as Arsenal snubbed Manchester United 3-0.
Alexis Sanchez brace and a goal from Mesut Ozil confirmed a convincing win of Arsenal over rivals United to go to the second position in the league table. Just like the final match of the week, we saw several exciting clashes throughout including some shocking results too.
Chelsea once again lost 1-3 to Southampton which increased their troubles even more. Manchester City game from behind to thrash Newcastle United 6-1. Argentine superstar Sergio Aguero scored 5 goals to single-handedly demolish the Magpies.
In another important clash on the Super Sunday, Merseyside rivals Liverpool and Everton faced each other. Though Danny Ings gave Reds the lead, Romelu Lukaku scored the equalising goal for Everton within a few minutes due to a defensive lapse.
As the Game week 8 comes to an end we prepare a list of best eleven players from this week.

Goalkeeper – Heurelho Gomes (Watford)
The Watford custodian had a great a week as he saved newly promoted Watford City twice by saving two crucial penalties against AFC Bournemouth. Watford City drew 1-1 to get at least a point.
Defenders – Glen Johnson and Erik Pieters (Stoke City), Jeffrey Schlupp (Leicester City
We select three defenders in our starting eleven. Stoke City duo Glen Johnson and Erik Pieters were exceptional as Stoke City defeated Aston Villa 1-0. Johnson, former Liverpool defender provided one assist and was stellar at the backline. Erik Pieters too did a great job to protect Stoke CIty’s 1 goal lead.
Leicester City’s Jeffrey Schlupp is our third defender in the list. Schlupp was exceptional on Saturday against Norwich City and scored one goal to ensure his team’s three points.
Midfielders – Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil (Arsenal), Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City), Christian Eriksen (Spurs), Yohan Cabaye (Crystal Palace)
Arsenal’s star midfielders Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil features in our list without any doubt. The duo’s dominant first-half display was enough to destroy Manchester United within 20 minutes. Sanchez scored a brace and Mesut Ozil scored once to ensure Arsenal’s 3 points.
Manchester City’s record signing midfielder Kevin De Bruyne features in our list. The Belgian international provided two assists to Sergio Aguero in City’s 6-1 win over Newcastle United and scored a screamer of a goal.
Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen scored a brace to ensure at least a point for Spurs. Harry Kane had scored a terrible own goal, but Eriksen scored two brilliant goals to restore parity.
Strikers – Sergio Aguero (Manchester City), Graziano Pelle (Southampton)
Sergio Aguero was the player of the week as the super Argentine scored 5 goals alone to demolish Newcastle United. Along with Aguero, Southampton’s Graziano Pelle features in our team who had provided one assist and scored one goal to beat Chelsea 3-1.
