Premier League Top 5 Goals: Gameweek 3

5)Wilfried Zaha, Crystal Palace vs Newcastle United 3-3

Having conceded a late goal two minutes from time, Crystal Palace threw everyone forward in the seven minutes of extra time they had to find the equaliser and they got it in the 95th minute when the Manchester United loanee volleyed home.

4)Raheem Sterling, Liverpool vs Tottenham Hotspur 3-0

Having started off the brighter of the two sides, a neat interplay between Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge resulted in the midfielder laying a sumptuous cross across the six yards box for Sterling to finish smartly.

3)Alberto Moreno vs Tottenham Hotspur 3-0

Moreno took advantage of substitute Andros Townsend’s poor first touch to steal the ball and race down the left flank from inside his own area before unleashing a fierce shot into Hugo Lloris’ bottom left corner.

2)Mame Birem Diouf, Stoke City vs Manchester City 1-0

Stoke secured their first victory away at Manchester City for 34 years when Diouf broke from a corner. He raced past Aleksandar Kolarov before nutmegging a retreating Fernandinho and proceeded to plant the ball in between a poorly positioned Joe Hart’s legs.

1)Wayne Routledge, Swansea City vs West Brom 3-0

Routledge scored the goal of the weekend with an improvised volley executed with a bizarre technique. A poor headed clearance came straight at him just outside the area and he sort of kung fu kicked the ball back into the bottom corner whilst both feet off the ground. You have to watch it to understand it!
