A furious Arsenal supporter has chosen a new length to demonstrate his frustration by taking a “Wenger Out” banner to an anti-Donald Trump rally.
Thousands marched to Westminster in protest at the US President’s state visit to the UK — with many unhappy at affording him such an honour following his highly controversial ban on people from certain Muslin countries entering the US.
Trump is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Theresa May and the Queen when he arrives, and protesters want the visit to be downgraded.
But for one Gooner, it was just a chance to take his protest against Arsene Wenger to a new and wider audience.
The Arsenal boss has come under serious fire in recent weeks following heavy humiliating defeats at Chelsea and Bayern Munich.
Fans have been split over the Frenchman for a number of years due to his 12 seasons without a Premier League title and seeming inability to compete in the Champions League.
But with no signs of improvement, the anti-Wenger brigade has grown louder.
A supporter was even spotted among the 700 Gunners in attendance for the FA Cup fifth-round win over Sutton with a sign calling for the manager to go.
Wenger has been boss of Arsenal for 20 years, having arrived in 1996.
In his first full season he won a Premier League and FA Cup double and repeated the feat four years later, before adding another title in 2004.
However, Arsenal have not been crowned champions since.
