After a 2nd placed finish without a trophy at the end of the last season, Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal have made a superb start to the season, getting themselves into the top-4 places 7 games into the new season.
The manager was busy in the summer trying to get his hands on some of the best players in Europe. Though he was not able to get most of his top transfer targets, Wenger is yet again looking to add to his squad and has continued to keep tabs on players he wants to add to his squad ahead of the next few seasons.
One such player who is now linked with a move to London is PSG star Marco Verratti.

Reports from Metro reveal that the 23-year old is open to a move away from PSG and that there are a number of clubs ready to pounce on him after the transfer window is open.
The Italian has been a star player for the French outfit for a couple of years now and has been in good form at the start of the current season. He is a genuine central midfielder who has the ability to control the midfield for his side and it is now understood that Arsenal are keeping tabs on the player.
Arsene Wenger, who has the likes of Granit Xhaka, Francis Coquelin and Santi Cazorla to play a similar role in his side, wants to add the 23-year old to his squad and is ready to make a move for him in the next transfer window.
It is also revealed that might be a replacement for the Spanish international Santi Cazorla in the side.
The 31-year old came into the side after the first few games this season and has cemented a place in the starting XI. He has been impressive in the midfield role for Arsenal in the last few games for Arsenal and is expected to be an important part of the squad this season.

However, his contract is set to expire at the end of the season and it is understood that Wenger is not yet ready to offer him a new contract at the club.
Cazorla, who has been at the club for a long time now has revealed that he is waiting for a contract offer and that he is ready to extend his stay at the club but it is understood that Wenger has eyed the PSG star to replace Cazorla in the team.
Verratti is contracted with PSG till2021 and will not be easy to lure out of PSG but if he takes Cazorla’s place in the starting lineup he will not be thinking too much about making the move.
Do you think Verratti should replace Cazorla at Arsenal?
