With the January transfer window officially open, transfer rumors are coming thick and fast and we will try to keep you posted the whole month.
The latest rumor out of Anfield is a reported interest in PSG goal keeper Salvatore Sirigu. Liverpool’s No.1 Simon Mignolet has always been under criticism for showing a weakness in his penalty box.
He has cost Liverpool several points over the course of the previous year and it is not a surprise to see the Anfield outfit in the transfer market for a new shot-stopper.
A number of big names have emerged as potential suitors for the Merseyside outfit but it is now understood the German manager is keen on brining an out of favor Sirigu to the Premier League this January.
The Italian international has long been regarded as a top goal keeper all over Europe and has done really well for PSG till last season. He however is no longer considered as the first choice at Parc de Princes.
He has fallen down the pecking order and has already made it clear that he wants to leave the French outfit and is also reportedly keen on a move the Premier League.
The Daily Telegraph has now reported that Sirigu has emerged as a favorite to replace Simon Mignolet at goal by end of January.
However, Klopp in a recent interview said that he is satisfied with the goal keeping options he has and that the Belgian has his backing to succeed.
Mignolet kept the most number of clean sheets in 2015 and ended the year with consecutive clean sheets against Leicester and Sunderland.
