PSG star now on top of transfer wish list for Conte (Not Angel Di Maria) 1

Antonio Conte will not be happy with his team’s performances in the last few games in the Premier League.

The Blues fell to a 3-0 defeat to their bitter rivals Arsenal last weekend as they exposed a number of short-comings in Conte’s squad on the night.

The two deadline day signings that the manager made in the summer showed that Conte is not really happy with this squad at the club at the moment, and it does not come as a surprise that he is keeping tabs on stars he can add to his squad when the transfer window re-opens.

The defense in the side is noticeably weak, but one player Conte is now desperate to land is PSG star Javier Pastore.

The international Pastore, has been a long term servant of the French outfit making more than 200 appearances at the French capital over the years.

He is an attacking midfielder who has been one of the most consistent in the side for some time now. He has also made 6 appearances so far this season for PSG but is reportedly not really happy with his place in the squad.

Unai Emery, the new boss at Paris, has not really used Pastore to great effect this season.

The 27-year old is not a first choice for the manager at PSG this season and it is understood that Pastore might be open to a move in search of regular football.

Chelsea were linked with his team-mate Edinson Cavani, with reports even suggesting that Conte wants to land him in a swap deal for Diego Costa.

However, it is hard to see PSG let Cavani go this season and it is understood that Conte has now turned his attention towards Pastore.

Recent reports suggest that the former Italian boss is desperate to add to his attack this January and is plotting  big money move for Pastore as soon the transfer window is open at the start of the next year.

The 27-year old who has 38 goals and 47 assists in his time in France, is reportedly on the top of the transfer wish list for Conte, but it will not be easy for the Chelsea boss to lure him out of the League 1, halfway through the season.

Pastore has 3 more years left on his contract, which only makes it harder.

But if Conte is ready to splash the cash and is really desperate for attacking additions, Pastore might be on the move in January.

The Argentine is a good suit to Conte’s style of play and can be a top class player in years to come in England. He is reaching the best years of his career and he will have to take a decision which might effect his career for good or for worse.

Do you think Conte can get his man in January?
