Having stitched a superb run of results since the turn of the year, Antonio Conte’s Chelsea are currently front-runners by a long way, for the Premier League title this season.
The Italian manager will be impressed with the way his team have done this season and will hope that they can keep up their good work until the end, to ensure that his debut in the country ends in glory.
Conte has already been busy trying to lure top transfer targets to the club and has been linked with a move for some of the biggest stars in Europe.
The manager will hope to keep the core of the squad together next season but he might now have to sweat over the future of one Eden Hazard.
The Belgian international was not in great form last season and was linked with an exit in the summer. But under Antonio Conte, he seems to have found his mojo and is now back to his previous best.
He is integral to the plans of the manager at the club but trusted football source Tribal Football claim that he is now a top transfer target for Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Zinedine Zidane who helped Real Madrid to their 11th Champions League title last season, is desperate for some attacking additions in the summer and with the transfer ban lifted, he is looking to make some major signings at the end of the season.
The report also claims that Florentino Perez, the Real Madrid President, is now ready to offer Spanish international Alvaro Morata as a part of the deal to land Hazard in the summer.
Morata, who was sublime in his time in Italy, has made just 7 league starts this season and is unsettled. He has been linked with an exit recently and a number of clubs are looking to sign him in the summer.
Chelsea are one of those clubs interested in his services and Real now want to lure Conte into selling Hazard for Morata + cash.
The Belgian playmaker has been unplayable at times this season and has been one of the most influential forwards in the league this season.
In 28 starts in all competitions, Hazard has 10 goals and 4 assists to his name and Zidane is convinced that he is the next best thing at the Bernabeu.
Hazard’s contract at Chelsea does not end for another 3 years which will mean that Real have to pay heavily for his services. But surely, he is one player who is worth all the money.
