Manchester City starting line up was – Sagna, Denayer, Humphreys, Kolarov, Toure, Fernando, Delph, Nasri, Silva, Sterling
Real Madrid took the lead on the 21st minute from Karim Benzema’s fantastic strike.
Cristiano Ronaldo doubled the lead on the 25th minute.
Pepe scored from a header on 44 minutes from a very nice delivery by Isco from corner.
Yaya Toure clawed one goal back for City just before the half time break.
Russian winger Denis Cheryshev made it 4-1 on 73 minutes from a brilliant pass by Isco.
Delph had a debut to forget as he was withdrawn for an injury on 21 minutes.
Sterling also a had a match to forget as he was booed by the crowd whenever he touched the ball.
The biggest talking point of the match is that captain Sergio Ramos was absent from the presentation ceremony.
With rumours circulating that the defender is set to join Manchester United, the absence may be an indication that the defender is going to leave Real Madrid.
We have to wait and watch for the future of Ramos.
