According to latest reports, Real Madrid are ready to sign PSG’s young sensation Marco Verratti. Real Madrid are looking to add more depth to their midfield as they are heavily dependent on Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.
Los Blancos have identified Marco Verratti as the player with abudant quality that can support Kroos and Modric in holding midfield. With the loss of Xabi Alonso, Real Madrid have only three players for holding mid-field role in the names of Kroos, Modric and Khedira.
With Khedira being below par through out the season, the reigning European Champions have become over dependent on Kroos-Modric duo. When Modric got injured, the European Champions have looked vulnerable as oppositions exploited the defense and Khedira’s ineffectiveness due to lack of proper play time.
With Khedira expected to leave the Spanish giants at the end of the season, Ancelotti is looking for possible replacements that can compliment Kroos and Modric. Verratti have already worked under Ancelotti at PSG and have made huge strides of improvement under him. Verratti is a huge fan of Ancelotti and admires him.
Ancelotti hold the key for the transfer to happen as anything less than Champions League might see him getting sacked. With PSG already launching a bid for Paul Pogba, Real Madrid might just convince the player to move to Santiago Bernabeu.
