It is January and it means serious upheaval in the footballing world. This month is the month of serious business and any transfer window remains incomplete without the name of the Spanish giants who make every transfer window interesting with the amount they splurge!

If reports surfacing in the media are to be trusted then, the La Liga giants are eyeing to get a certain Argentinean from the Theatre of Dreams. Supposedly the new target for Florentino Perez is Manchester United’s Marcos Rojo who the Los Blancos are eyeing as a backup for Marcelo. Rojo has had a poor run under Van Gaal and has not found his position in the squad. And this bodes well for the Madrid outfit as they can get the multi talented defender for a bargain.

Though there is no comparison between the two South American superstars given the level of experience one can boast of as compared to the other. However, Rojo brings more variety on the table being comfortable both as a left back as well as a centre back. Given more game time, Rojo can also blossom and become an ideal fit for any team.

So far the Argentinean has failed to show his prowess in England with playing a meagre 6 games in this season so far. A move to Spain might not only improve the prospects of the 26 year old, but also might be fruitful for the Los Blancos who need an immediate solution to their defence debacle if they are to go and steal the title from city rivals Atletico and the Catalan giants Barcelona.
