Real Madrid young prodigy is wanted by a lot of European legends including Chelsea and Arsenal, claims Talksport. Borja Mayoral has excelled well for the U-21 team of Real Madrid previously managed by Zinedine Zidane and has dubbed him to be the Real Madrid legend Raul. Reports have also revealed that an imminent deal is to be presented for the young man to keep potential clubs at bay.
There were rumours that he is having a rift with the Real Madrid staffs, but both the player and club have already laughed off those claims. The Spaniard will receive a contract extension that will keep him at Real Madrid until 2021. He has also featured for Spain U-17, Spain U-19, and Spain U-21 teams already scoring a total of 11 goals from 16 appearances. Furthermore, he has already earned a place in the Real Madrid senior squad.
The Madrid-born player joined Parla academy at the age of seven and caught the eye of the footballing world. However, the striker showed the worth of praise he is receiving, as the player scored seven goals in UEFA Youth League in 2014, which included a hat-trick.
He has been an important part of the Real Madrid B team, and has made 24 appearances and has scored 11 goals. And last October, he made his debut for Real Madrid senior squad, replacing Toni Kroos in the second half of the match against UD Las Palmas.
The Real Madrid boss has also praised the youngster quoting, “Mayoral is a striker who gets a goal every time he takes a shot.” Mayoral himself has spoken that Karim Benzema and Raul are his inspirations.
He has also won the UEFA European Under-19 championship in 2015, in which tournament he was the top-scorer as well.
