Joe Mourinho, the new manager at Old Trafford has added some great quality to the squad from the previous season in the summer transfer window.
The likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Eric Bailly and Paul Pogba are four players who have made the team stronger than before and will help the manager get the better of even the best teams in the Premier League and also in Europe.
However, they also have a young star in their armory that is now making a big name for himself.
Marcus Rashford, 18, is an England international who burst onto the scene at Old Trafford under the previous manager Louis van Gaal and has been impressive ever since.
He scored a brace in his top flight debut for Arsenal and is now one of the most exciting prospects in English domestic football.
He was also a part of the England U21 squad where he scored a hat-trick recently and has established himself at the highest level of the sport in the country.
And it has now given way to reports wanting to find his real value in this inflated market.
According to the Sun, Rashford’s real value lies close to £72m, at least compared to the French starlet Anthony Martial who moved to the club just last summer.
Martial made a £36m move to the Premier League and has already scored 11 goals for his side at a rate of 0.25 goals per game.
His price can lift to around £57.6 if all the add-ons are fulfilled and this is the base for Rashford’s value in the market.
The 18-year old who has impressed so much that he is no called back into the senior side has a better goal scoring ratio than Martial, and that along with his form in International games, has seen his value drive over the roof to £72m.
Though Manchester United will not even think of selling him, it will be interesting to see if any club in Europe is ready to match his valuation.
How much do you think Rashford’s value is in the present market?
