An amatuer footballer in Mexico is on the run after killing the referee in the match with a headbutt in his anger after a red card.
Football has not always been the most cherished game as it had dark incidents like these happening just like other sports where the players involved lose their temper which often resulted in unforgettable sad moments.
Ruben Rivera Vazquez who is the alleged footballer has shown his anger on the referee Victor Trejo during a Sunday league match in Tulancingo, the second-biggest city in the state of Hidalgo.
During the incident, referee Victor Trejo has fainted as Ruben Rivera Vazquez was seen head-butting him. Paramedics has been on the pitch for a time but has failed to save the life of the referee.

The paramedic team could do nothing as the ref suffered a very serious injury. According to emergency services on the scene, the referee died of a “widespread subarachnoid hematoma,” caused by a blow to the head. The player who is alleged of the incident is on the run and police are still out looking for him.
Sports have always been for entertainment and competition but an incident like these remind us of how dirty the game has become and we are only hopeful that such scenes will never occur in the future in any game.
