Manchester United have managed to put the dissapointmnet of last season under David Moyes and look for new ways under Louis Van Gaal. With news players coming in and some of the players re-inventing their form has helped to create a positive atmosphere among Manchester United fans. There seems to be a good feeling about the United side when ever they are playing at Old Trafford. Unite dhave the second best home record in the league this season.

All of this must indicate towards a more steadier story at Manchester United but it has been anything but that for both players and the fans. Manager Louis Van Gaal has been shuffling his side’s formation and player’s position far too much for everyone’s liking. Initially Van Gaal’s hands were forced with injuries and suspension but even now heen all the players are fit and available, Van Gaal does not seem to know his best 11 or best formation.

Since it is Manchester United so most of the players are on high salary structures. Some might argue with the kind of wages which is being paid to the professional players these days when you compare it with the level of performance and commitment shown on the pitch.

Continuing the theme I look forward to the so called “Bank Robbers” at Manchester United. Players who are being paid way too much for the services they are offering to the club.

Radamel Falcao – £2,80,000-a-week

REVEALED: Bank Robbers at Manchester United 1

These are astronomical figures when you consider the amount of chances Radamel Falcao has been wasting in front of the goal. He is just not the same player which United signed based on his previous work with Porto, Atletico Madrid and AS Monaco. Since his knee injury he has been short on confidence and his shark-like finishing instincts have slowed down a bit.

Falcao has managed to score 4 and create 3 goals this season, which can be deemed as decent but the amount of chance he has missed does not stand good for his chances of making his loan move to a permanent one at Manchester United. With a salary of £280k-a-week, I would expect any player to deliver more than what Falcao has been delivering.

When you think that with a salary of such numbers, Manchester United could have gone and got Edinson Cavani, Karim Benzema or even the man himself Zlatan Ibrahimovic, I have my doubts about United making Falcao deal a permanent one, especially at £280k-a-week.

Anders Lindegaard – £40,000-a-week

REVEALED: Bank Robbers at Manchester United 2

Some would find it a bit harsh but to pay a goal keeper £40k-a-week just to sit on the bench is way off the limit, especially when you realize that Phil Jones (United’s best defender) is getting a mere £50,000-a-week for his services to the club.

Lindegaard was signed by Manchester United in 2010 for a fee of £3.5 Million, Lindegaard was signed as the substitute to then United goal keeper, Edwin Van Der Sar with a view of Lindegaard taking over from the Dutch man when he retires. Lindegaard has seen Van Der Sar left and David De Gea take over as United’s #1 in Goal.

Manchester United have recently signed Victor Valdes, that further worsens the chance sfor Lindegaard to play ever again for United. Lindegaard does not even make the squad these days for Manchester United. January Transfer window came and went by but Lindegaard is still warming the benches and getting paid a handsome fee of £40k-a-week.

Chris Smalling – £60,000-a-week

REVEALED: Bank Robbers at Manchester United 3

I see Chris Smalling as the weakest link in United’s defence. Smalling was signed from Fulham with a hope of seeing him lead United’s defence one day. Sadly though, I do not see that in him to make it big at Manchester United. Chris Smalling looks nervous and rash when he has the ball and looks uncertain while defending long balls and headers.

Chris Smalling often gets found out by the tricky players taking him on. His Red Card in the last Manchester-Derby was a classic case of the defensive liability Chris Smalling has become at Old Trafford. Manchester Unid have been linked with various big-name defenders in the summer. If any of the rumored target end up signing for United, I see Chris Smalling being the first name to be sold from current United squad and end his £60k-a-week deal with Manchester United.

Ashley Young – £1,18,000-a-week

REVEALED: Bank Robbers at Manchester United 4

Former Aston Villa man was brought to Old Trafford with a reputation of being a dazzling winger. Fair to say his dazzles have fizzed quicker than that of a Soda Bottle. Ashley Young has been a dissapointing figure at Manchester United and has been a bit-part player in recent weeks.

Ashley Young was given a new lease of life by the manager Louis Van Gaal to play as a wing-back and after some impressive run of games, Young was back to his less than convincing form and leave us scratching our heads with his £118k-a-week deal at Manchester United. Young’s current contract runs till 2016 and if he wants to prolong his United career he will have to put in stellar performances week in week out now.

Adnan Januzaj – £40,000-a-week

REVEALED: Bank Robbers at Manchester United 5

Adnan januzaj was the stand out player for Manchester United under David Moyes last season. His performances earned him a new deal and a substantial pay-raise. One can not help but wonder is it the case of “Too Much Too Soon” for the Belgian wonderkid. Januzaj has been struggling to get in to the team under Louis Van Gaal.

Van Gaal clearly fancies Januzaj as he has not allowed the youngster to leave Old Trafford in the January Transfer Window with PSG and Everton interested. Van Gaal gives Januzaj his share of chances to prove himself but Januzaj looks like a shadow of himself from last season and has totally failed to prove his £50k-a-week at Manchester United.
