Revealed: Predicted XI of Arsenal against West Bromwich Albion

Finally the week long international break is over and the Premier League is back in action. As the game week 13 kicks-off on Saturday, second placed Arsenal visit Hawthorn stadium to take on 13th placed West Bromwich Albion.

The Gunners are on a fine run of form in the Premier League as they are behind league leaders Manchester City just on goal difference. Arsenal will be welcoming back star defender Hector Bellerin as confirmed by the Gunners boss Arsene Wenger. Unfortunately they will miss the sevices of winger duo Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Aaron Ramsey.

Ramsey recieved a knock three weeks back against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League game and Chamberlain was forced out against Sheffield Wednesday in a Capital One Cup encounter.

Arsenal will look forward to bag full points

Arsenal Team News:

Arsenal’s star center back Laurent Koscielny and his compatriot and star striker Olivier Giroud’s readiness to play for Arsenal will be assessed by Arsene Wenger ahead of Saturday’s Barclays Premier League clash at West Brom.

The French duo’s mental condition will be the thing to watch as they both played for France during the week when terrorist attacks loomed Paris. It will be a hard job for them.

Young right-back Hector Bellerin is available after he missed the last week North London derby encounter due to a groin problem, but midfielders Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Aaron Ramsey (both hamstring injuries) remain out this weekend and forward Theo Walcott (calf) is not expected back for one or two weeks.

Arsene Wenger will once again field his young Costa Rican winger Joel Campbell on the right flank who played the last couple of game for Arsenal. Defender Kieran Gibbs might replace the youngster in the latter stages if the situation demands.

Arsenal Predicted Starting XI:

Goalkeeper: Petr Cech

Defenders: Hector Bellerin, Per Mertesacker, Laurent Koscielny, Nacho Monreal

Midfielders: Santi Cazorla, Francis Coquelin; Joel Campbell, Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez

Striker: Olivier Giroud

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Alternative Starting XI of Arsenal:

Goalkeeper: Petr Cech

Defenders: Hector Bellerin, Per Mertesacker, Laurent Koscielny, Nacho Monreal

Midfielders: Santi Cazorla, Francis Coquelin; Kieran Gibbs, Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez

Striker: Olivier Giroud

This is an alternative starting XI which Arsene Wenger might prefer in case he thinks that Joel Campbell is not good enough to start in this crucial encounter. We have replaced Joel Campbell with full-back Keiran Gibbs whose attacking ability was reflected in the last two games Arsenal played. Wenger surprised everyone for the first time in the Champions League match against Bayern Munich when he relpaced Joel Campbell with Keiran Gibbs. To counter the attacking football of Bayern Gibbs’ pace was utilised on flanks.

Similarly in the North-London derby against Tottenham Hotspur, Keiran Gibbs came on late as a substitute and scored the all important equalising goal just justifying Wenger’s decision.

Though, Tony Pulis’ West Bromwich Albion is not as fast as the other two teams but fielding can always be an alternative, especially as he scored the goal against Spurs last to last week.
