Rival Manager Trolls Manchester United: Suggests Red Devils Are Out Of Title Race 1

December has just started and there is still a long way to go before the title is decided but Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, it seems, has already decided Manchester United’s fate in the Premier League. The Spanish tactician has his fair shares of doubt about the Red Devils’ chances in the league this term. He said that although the Old Trafford outfit can finish the league in top-four, winning the league won’t be easy at all.

Manchester United’s hopes of winning the league this term is fast fading away after losing points against Everton on Sunday.Jose Mourinho’s men have  only won two of their past 11 league matches and they are now nine points adrift of Manchester City in fourth place and 13 points shy of leaders, Chelsea.

The City boss said that United were unlucky to not bag all the three points in several games and claimed that they are still a ‘long distance’ off catching the league leaders.

“I saw the games against Stoke and Burnley, and other ones at Old Trafford,” the 45-year-old said.

“They deserved by far to win the games but football is like this. United have the quality, the history, the manager and the players to be there.

“Of course, 13 points is a long distance, especially when one team is winning games with the quality of Chelsea. So it is not easy. But to be in the first four? Of course.”

Meanwhile, Guardiola will be hoping that his team’s campaign gets back on track after the 3-1 defeat to Chelsea on Saturday. City had the chance to leapfrog the Blues to take the top position in the table, but Antonio Conte’s men proved too good for them as they consolidated their position in the league with their eighth consecutive win.
