According to latest reports, Manchester United striker Robin van Persie wants to stay with Manchester United next season giving a boost to Louis van Gaal ahead of summer transfer window.
The Dutch star striker will run into the last year in his contract next season if he wishes to stay and contribute to the Red Devils’ success. van Persie’s season got hampered with serious injuries throughout the season restrivting him to a mere 25 appearences this season in which he amounted 10 goals in all competitions.
With Louis van Gaal searching for new striker next season, the striker might face some tough time to get place in starting XI next season.
The player is still interested to play for Red Devils if Manchester United are interested in his services. A close source to the player have confirmed by saying, “Robin is in no rush to leave. He still thinks he can achieve things and contribute at Old Trafford.”
The player who will be 32 by the start of next season will have plenty to offer if United wants him despite being behind Wayne Rooney in the club’s pecking order. van Persie returned to action in their 3-0 defeat to Everton last weekend and will likely to feature more regularly as Rooney faced a minor niggle and Falcao continues to be ineffective in Premier League.
