Romeo Beckham, son of former Manchester United star David Beckham was unexpectedly left out of the latest Brentford B team selection. The 20-year-old was not even named to the substitutes’ bench for Wednesday’s trip to OH Leuven in Belgium.
Beckham, on the other hand, had played in the last encounter against Fulham last Thursday. As they celebrated their four-year anniversary, Romeo Beckham shared intimate photos of himself planting a kiss on his girlfriend, Mia Regan. However, his absence from the squad travelling to Belgium perplexed fans.

While fans were left in the mystery, Brentford have explained that Romeo Beckham had a slight injury and hence was left out of the squad. According to the Bees, he has already returned to training. Beckham spent the second part of the season on loan with the Bees from his father David’s MLS club Inter Miami.
He apparently impressed the Bees sufficiently for them to want to keep him for next season. The forward could sign on for another 12-month loan with a buy option. However, Romeo Beckham is yet to make an appearance for his dad’s Inter Miami’s first squad, but he was previously a regular for the club’s reserves. He has made 26 appearances for Inter Miami II, scoring twice and assisting ten times.

However, a representative for Romeo Beckham has denied the couple’s engagement, telling MailOnline that the aspiring footballer has not yet proposed his girlfriend for marriage. Romeo Beckham and Mia began dating in May 2019, but it wasn’t until a year later that Mia first appeared on Romeo’s Instagram, when they declared their romance “red carpet official.” The couple frequently takes to social media to show the world how in love they are, and they have been seen wearing matching jewellery.
