With Guus Hiddink being the temporary managerial solution for the Blues, Abramovich is on the lookout for possible replacements and heading that list is current Chile boss Jorge Sampaoli.
Jose Mourinho was sacked by the Chelsea management last Thursday after an emergency meeting. Following the exit of the Special One, Hiddink was handed the reins yet again after 2009. Though Hiddink will forsee the activities of the club till the end of this season but in all probability will be replaced by someone who would be a more permanent option and the favourites to feature as the Chelsea boss next season are Jorge Sampaoli and Diego Simione
Jorge Sampaoli is known for his fiery football tactics and that is essentially what the Blues need right now. Another thing that makes Sampaoli a frontrunner to take up the Chelsea job is his achievements with the Chileacn national team who he lead to become the Copa America champions.
Another individual who Chelsea are eyeing to take up the throne is Atletico boss Diego Simione. Simione’s achievements with the Roji Blancos are a proof of the capability of that Argentinean. He began his journey with Atletico by winning the Europa League and since then there has been no looking back for Cholo. From team laurels to individual awards, Simione has acquired massive laurels and his presence in the EPL will only make things interesting.
Both these champion managers made something out of teams who were nothing and their zeal and tenacity is just what Chelsea needs to forget the debacles of this season. However the availability of both the South American stars is under a dark cloud. While Ssampaoli’s future with Chile will become clear after his meeting with the Chilean Football Association, Diego Simione on the other hand stayed mum about his interests out of respect for others!
