Manchester United are trying to sign Brazilian playmaker Felipe Anderson in the January transfer window, as they believe that the attacking midfielder would bring in the required dynamism for the Reds with his flare and creativity.

The Reds have been winless in their last seven games in all competitions and the board has decided to utilize the funds available to make quality signings in the transfer window.

Van Gaal’s future at Old Trafford is hanging by a thread and club is working behind the scenes to bring in new players.

Felipe has scored four times in 17 Serie A appearances for Lazio this season and is said to be valued at £40m by his current club, who brought him from Santos in 2013.

He is a fast operator in the midfield or wide on the wing sometimes and was noticed due to his remarkable performances for Lazio.

Anderson was a key player last season in Lazio’s 3rd place finish, scoring 10 goals and also paving the way for a Champions league spot for his team.

The Reds are trying for Anderson as their ambitious target of bringing in James Rodriguez to Old Trafford is not proceeding smoothly, as Madrid are

reluctant to sell him.

United are making the realistic attempt to sign Felipe since Wayne Rooney, Anthony Martial and Mephis Depay are not in good touch and Depay has

disappointed the most.

According to latest reports, Anderson is not willing to come to Old Trafford if Van Gaal is not in charge of the club.

The Brazilian playmaker will stall any advances from United if Van Gaal is shown the door sooner or later.

Rumours have also started that the midfielder is being watched by Chelsea and Bayern Munich since some time, but with Van Gaal’s future at Old Trafford

still uncertain, it is to be seen whether the playmaker will be roped in.
