Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is keen to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Angel di Maria, according to the reports in Spain.

The Argentine international have moved from Real Madrid to Manchester United during Louis van Gaal’s first season in 2014 for a record British fee of £59.7million. However, he has failed to adapt to the Premier League after having some personal problems along with injuries which has made him move to French champions Paris Saint-Germain only twelve months after joining the Red Devils at Old Trafford.

The 28-year old then rebuilt his career and have yet again become one of the best players in Europe during the last season as he is back in his old ways. The Argentiine is keen to make a move back to Premier League as early as January, according to Don Balon.

He is considering a switch to Stamford Bridge as he believes he could excel under new manager Antonio Conte as he is currently unhappy at Paris with PSG appointing Unai Emery as their new coach after sacking Laurent Blanc last season.

The report also suggests Conte is a huge admirer of di Maria as his recent progress meant the manager is happy to sign him as he is still building his squad at Chelsea.

Conte considers di Maria as a crucial player to his dream team as the Argentine has scored 15 goals last season for PSG across all competitions and remains the star man for the club after Zlatan Ibrahimovic moved to Manchester United earlier this summer.

A move to Premier League would be surely exciting for di Maria as he will have a chance to prove his doubters wrong after a woeful spell at Old Trafford which has seen him make only 27 appearances for the Red Devils before completing a £44 million the following summer.
