Chelsea have been joined by four Premier League rivals in their pursuit to sign Uruguayan central defender Martin Caceres.
The 29-year is currently a free agent after being released by Juventus at the end of last season. The Blues have emerged as potential suitors after the deadline day.

However, according to Sunday People, Chelsea need to fight with Sunderland, Swansea, Southampton and West Brom as all the four Premier League clubs are keen to sign the 29-year old free agent.
The player could join any club since he is unattached to any club and a decision about his future could be very soon as all the four clubs are interested despite the Blues leading the chase.
The former Barcelona defender have joined Juventus in 2012 on a permanent basis having two separate loan spells with the Italian champions prior to the permanent deal. However, he has failed to make a significant impact and the club has let him leave after the expiry of his contract.
The Uruguayan is keen to revive his career and is expected to arrive in England at the end of the month as a number of Premier League clubs have expressed their interest in signing him. The 29-year old will assess the options available for him before finalizing a decision on his future.
