Shocking: Chelsea star raises question about Antonio Conte’s tactics!!

Thibaut Courtois admits some of Antonio Conte’s training methods at Chelsea are ‘boring’.

The manager compiled tactical videos and keeper Courtois said: “We worked on that a lot and maybe that is sometimes boring.

“But it’s important to know how to do these things.”

“In terms of food, drinks, and everything, he put a new regime in place.

“In training, he wanted to put his mark on the group immediately, with videos to see how we would have to train and work, what we do well and tactically what to do.”

Rumors that circulated ten days ago that Conte was about to be axed proved false – and Chelsea issued a strong statement of support for the former Juventus supremo.

Courtois’ comments, though, will raise questions as to how well Conte has been received in some quarters at Stamford Bridge.

But the Chelsea stopper, 24, is adamant all the players are now pulling in the same direction and fully behind the former Italy manager.

Courtois, linked with a move to Real Madrid, added: “Everyone gets on board quickly because he is the new manager. You listen to him because he is the boss and he paves the way for us.

“But, obviously, if you are used to certain ways then at the beginning an adjustment is made.”

Courtois is expected to start when the Blues face Manchester United on Sunday.

For a long time Chelsea facing Manchester United represented the new guard against the old, and for a good few years, they were the two strongest teams England had to offer – evidenced by the Champions League final played out between them in 2008.

Since then, though, managers have come and gone and Jose Mourinho’s return to Stamford Bridge, in charge of United just two years after winning the league with Chelsea, adds another dimension to the clash.

Amazingly, Chelsea hasn’t lost against United in any of their last 10 games, in any competition. The last time they did United man Juan Mata was on the scoresheet for Chelsea, but goals from Robin Van Persie, Javier Hernandez, and a David Luiz own goal secured the win for Sir Alex Ferguson’s men at Stamford Bridge, back in October 2012.

The Red Devils and Chelsea finished first and third in the Premier League that season, but both are a little behind the teams leading the league so far this season in terms of quality.

With the way it’s shaping up there might only be one Champions League place to share between the two of them come May, so there’s no understating how important this match is!
