According to reports from Spanish media, Chelsea striker Diego Costa could make a shock move to La Liga giants Barcelona.

The news definitely would be a blow for under pressure Jose Mourinho after Chelsea’s disastrous start to this season.

Don Balon, a media outlet from Spain claims Barcelona boss is looking for another goalgetter to add variety to his attacking line.

It is suggested Diego Costa would be perfect fit for the job and the Spanish strikers’ agent Jorge Mendes, who also manages Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, is trying to create a possible move to the La Liga giants for his troubled client.

The-27-year-old Chelsea striker was once a lethal weapon for La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid and Barcelona are positive about the aggressive Chelsea marksman despite his inconsistent form in Premier League. He has scored just three goals in this season.

If the deal is successful, He will join Manchester United long target Neymar,  former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez and none other than Lionel Messi in a star-studded striking line. His ability to fight with rival defenders and a knack of creating holes in the enemy line are virtues highly valued by Barcelona boss, who also believes that the presence of a player like Diego Costa in the team will further improve the performance of Messi, Neymar and Suarez

Chelsea have lost five of the first 10 Premier League matches this season and face a tough challenge against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool tomorrow.

The Blues were thrown out of the Capital One Cup by Stoke City in a penalty shootout last Tuesday.

According to reports, club owner Roman Abramovich has already prepared a shortlist of possible managers to replace Jose Mourinho as yet another defeat to the Reds will most likely bring an end to the second spell of the Portuguese at Stamford Bridge.
