Having taken over the Anfield outfit around this time last season, Jurgen Klopp, the former Borussia Dortmund manager, has taken the Liverpool side back to the top of the table.
His summer signings in Joel Matip, Loris Karius, Georginio Wijnaldum and Sadio Mane, have all been superb this season for the side and have helped them to the 3rd place level on points with Manchester City and Arsenal in the first two spots.
It is clear that the manager has a plan for the club and that he will have a squad that meets his requirements and one player who might not be in that squad come the end of the season is French defender Mamadou Sakho.
The 26-year old had a torrid year so far from being banned by the WADA for drug abuse to losing a place in the Europa League and the EURO16 final with club and country.

Though he was later relieved of that charge, his antics in the pre-season tour to the United States saw Klopp freeze him out of the first team. Sakho could not keep himself quite and took it to Snapchat to tell the fans that he is fit to play and that he is being betrayed by the club.
It did not come as a surprise that Klopp has completely shunted him out after the incident and is also planning to sell him in the next transfer window.
Sakho was asked to look for another club in the summer to get regular game time but the Frenchman decided to stay at Anfield and fight for his place but at the moment, it looks more and more likely that he has no future under Jurgen Klopp.
Sakho, who made his last appearance for the side in a league game against West Brom late last season, is yet to feature even on the bench for the senior side and it is now revealed that the former PSG captain is all but ending his career at Liverpool in January.

According to reports from France Football, Sakho is now 99.99% favorites to leave Liverpool in January.
The likes of Joel Matip, Dejan Lovren and Ragnar Klavan are first choice center backs at the club with Lucas Leiva acting as a cover when needed leaving Sakho with no place this season and it would be well suited for both the parties that the 26-year old leaves the club in January.
With 28 caps for the national side, Sakho is an experienced defender and it is evident from interests coming from all over Europe mainly from his homeland and Italy.
It will be a blow for Liverpool to lose such a quality player but Klopp has decided that he has no place in the squad leaving Sakho with no other option.
Do you think Sakho has any chance of getting some gametime at Anfield?
