Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal were lucky to sneak all three points from a less than convincing performance against Marco Silva’s Hull City side at the weekend.
However, the victory pushed Arsenal closer to the top of the table, where Chelsea have been sitting warm for a while now.
The manager is evidently unhappy with the performances of some of his star players and will need them to be at their best to have a shot at any kind of silverware this season.
But one Mesut Ozil has just not helped the manager in his cause in recent times.

Though he has been productive in the first half of the season, Ozil, has fallen flat recently and has had no real impact in the last few games.
He is currently in the middle of a transfer saga with Wenger having offered him a bumper new contract already. But the German playmaker is not convinced with the terms of the new deal and is yet to put pen to paper.
This combined with his lack of performances have now seen him linked with an exit in the summer.
At the moment, the 28-year old is completely out of confidence and needs a drastic change to get back to form but reports from the Mirror earlier suggested that the player may even be dropped for the upcoming games.
The Gunners play Bayern Munich in their first knockout fixture in the Champions League this week and the report claims that Wenger is planning to drop Ozil for this crucial tie.
However, the Independent now claim that he has worked his way back into the plans of the manager after his reaction in the dressing room after a recent game.

After the 2-1 defeat at the Etihad, Mesut Ozil was so frustrated, that he went into the locker rooms after the final whistle and kicked out at a locker with frustration.
His manager Arsene Wenger was also in the vicinity and he spoke about the player’s confidence in a recent interview.
Speaking to the media recently, Wenger revealed that there is hardly anything to pin Ozil’s loss of form on.
I felt he was not completely confident technically,” the Arsenal manager said.
“I completely agree with you. That’s a problem because you think he can deliver something special. It’s true that technically he did things [against Hull] that he is not used to doing. I don’t know. It can happen. I can’t think of a specific reason,” he added.
It will come as a boost for the Gunners who will need their star players to be at their best in the game against the German champions.
But Ozil, will surely have to improve on his game if he is to take the team to success come the end of the season.
