Arsenal were humiliated yet again on their trip to the Allianz Arena as German giants Bayern Munich thumped them in a 5-1 victory in the first leg of the Champions League knockout tie on Wednesday.
Arsene Wenger was visibly frustrated in the press conference after the game and has been under severe scrutiny by the fans and pundits all around the world.
But the Frenchman will not be fazed by this defeat and will hope to get Arsenal back to their best, to try and compete for some sort of silverware come the end of the season.
The manager has already been looking into the future of the club and is trying to add a few players to the squad in the summer but he is also ready to sell a few to reduce the burden and improve the quality in the squad.
There are a number of stars who could be up for sale in the summer at the Emirates but one player who is sure to leave is midfielder Santi Cazorla.
The Spanish playmaker, who has lifted the world cup in his prime, has 72 caps for Spain and is considered one of the most technically gifted midfielders in the game at the moment.
However, he has not been able to play consistently for Arsenal, as he has not been able to keep himself fit consistently.
He picked up a devastating injury in December that rule him out for at least three months and underwent a surgery in January. Arsenal, are however, yet to reveal an official statement as they when they expect him to be back in action.
But Turkish media outfit Sporx, claim that Turkish giants Fenerbahce are close to stealing him away in the summer.
Cazorla, 32, will be out of a contract at the end of the season and there is a bit of a confusion as to the expiry of his current contract.
A document from the FA shows that Arsenal had a clause in Cazorla’s contract that allows them to extend it for another year and that the English club have used the option even before the turn of the year.
They are yet to publicly reveal that the contract extension officially and the Turkish outfit are hoping that Cazorla will be available for free.
Fenerbahce are currently in the 4th place in the domestic league in their country and Dick Advocaat, the manager, is determined to add some mettle to his midfield in the summer.
Wenger might sanction this move before the start of the next season.
Do you think Santi Cazorla will stay at the Emirates for another year?
