Anfield outfit Liverpool ended 2016 with a victory over Manchester City but started the New Year with a draw against Sunderland, as they continue to show a peculiar weakness against the smaller teams in the league.
They have lost just two games so far this season and look strong contenders for the title but the manager will know that his squad needs to be worked on before it can go all the way.
Klopp will look to add a few players to the squad but he is also ready to sell a couple of players and one such player who will not be a Liverpool player for long is French defender Mamadou Sakho.

The 26-year old is one of the most exciting characters in world football and he was solid around this time last year. However, he was stuck in a useless drug abuse case that has sent his career into the dump.
He was fined by the UEFA for use of a banned substance and Liverpool decided not to play him until he was completely relieved of his ban. The French national team decided to do the same and this cost Sakho the Europa League final and the EURO16 final, which his teams unfortunately lost.
Though he was later cleared off all the charges, his antics in the pre-season tour to the US, where he picked up an injury, saw Klopp freeze him out of the first team.
Sakho has ever since not been allowed to even train with the first team and though he has been influential for the U23s, he has finally accepted to move on and is now ready to leave Anfield this transfer window.

A number of clubs have been linked with a move for the French star but reports today suggest that Claude Puel’s Southampton many be able to land him this month.
Reports from France reveal that the French defender is ready to snub the likes of Galatasaray to stay in the Premier League and that the St Marys is his most likely destination before the end of this month.
Southampton are under a bit of trouble after their first choice centre-back Jose Fonte, handed in a transfer request to be sold this January.
Puel is ready to accept offers for him and is now ready to spend on Sakho to add him to his squad.
Having made more than 80 appearances for Liverpool, Sakho, is an experienced defender who can make a difference at the St Marys and Liverpool should sell him, now that he is not in their plans.
Do you think Mamadou Sakho will move to Southampton this January?
