Star Liverpool told he has not place at Anfield yet rejects deal from two Premier League clubs
Liverpool have a much increased squad from the previous season after the new manager Jurgen Klopp has managed to get his hands on some of the best players in Europe.
The club had a problem at the back in the previous season and Klopp decided to bring in the likes of Loris Karius, Joel Matip and Ragnar Klavan into the side this summer to add mettle to his back-5.
However, it is now revealed that the club wants one of their star players from the previous season to leave the club before the deadline day.
Mamadou Sakho, who lost his place in the lineup after a drug ban late last season has not been able to find a place back into the side having picked up an injury in the pre season after being cleared of all his drug charges.
This along with a bit of an attitude problem has seen Klopp push him down the pecking order and it is now understood that Liverpool have asked Sakho to find a new club before the deadline day.
The French international, who is not yet back in training has been reportedly told that he has to make a move away from the club to find any kind of game time. It is understood that he is told that he will not get a single minute of game time this season.
This has seen a number of English clubs including Stoke City make a move for a loan deal this summer.
But is now understood that Sakho has rejected a move not only to the Britannia but also to the Hawthorns.
In a recent report, it is revealed that the 26-year old has rejected a move to Tony Pulis’ Baggies side and that he is not yet ready to leave Anfield.
It is to be seen whether the 26-year old will stay at Liverpool and risk being frozen or if he does make a move before the deadline day.
Do you think Liverpool should sell Sakho this summer?
