Stats: Liverpool are the biggest selling club in Europe since 2010 1

Liverpool have raked up more transfer income by selling players than any other club in top five football leagues in Europe since 2010.

The Reds have made an unbelievable £374 million by selling their players to other clubs in the last six years. Liverpool have edged notable selling clubs like Valencia and Benfica and clinched the top spot of being the biggest selling club in Europe.

Liverpool have sold the likes of Luis Suarez to Barcelona and Raheem Sterling to Manchester City in big-money moves over the past few years and have also done decent business in getting big money for flop signings like Christian Benteke and Andy Caroll who bagged big money despite their failures at Anfield.

The closest Premier League club to Liverpool are Tottenham Hotspur who earned £313 million by selling their players in the same period.

Spanish club Valencia are close to Liverpool with £366 million while Juventus clinched third place and Benfica stood at fourth with £351 million over the last six years.

Juventus have joined the list after their world record transfer of Paul Pogba to Manchester United earlier this summer and also selling Arturo Vidal to Bayern Munich for a considerable amount last summer.

Chelsea (£303 million), Southampton (£227 million) and Manchester City (£209 million) have all made the list of top-20 biggest selling clubs in Europe. However clubs like Manchester United and Arsenal have not earned a place in the list.

Arsenal who are known to be one of the best-selling clubs as they have sold the likes of Robin van Persie, Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas have failed to clinch a spot.

German giants Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund have also not made the list with the duo keen to keep the core of their team over the past few years which got them tremendous success.

However, Liverpool are way behind their title rivals in terms of spending as Reds spent  £561 million while their rivals  Manchester City (£867 million), Chelsea (£737 million) and Manchester United (£712 million) are way ahead of them.
