Leicester City’s club record signing from Portugal, Islam Slimani, made a superb start to the Premier League this season. Having picked up a couple of goals on his debut for the club, Slimani was also instrumental in Leicester City’s dream start to their Champions League campaign. He has dislodged Jamie Vardy role as a striker, pushing the England international down the pecking order and leading the attack for his side to a decent effect. He is still not a finished article but when you watch him play under Ranieri, it is clear that he will not take too long to shine.
