Former Liverpool and Aston Villa players Raheem Sterling and Fabian Delph take a jibe at their former clubs on social media while travelling to San Marino for England’s Euro 2016 qualifier match.

Sterling made an infamous move to Manchester City this season from Liverpool as he practially forced his move away from the club. The young winger had made it clear by the end of last season that he would stay at Anfield anymore. His agent was adamant regarding Sterling’s move to other clubs this season and the man also had tussles with former players like Jamie Carragher.

After the transfer window opened this summer Manchester City roped in the talented player for a whopping 49 million pounds which was also a record fee for any British in the history. The Liverpool fans for obvious reasons did not back the player and even called him a ‘snake’.

Similar incident happened with another English midfielder Fabian Delph who left Aston Villa to join Manchester City this summer. Initially it was reported that Delph would reject the idea of moving and would commit his future at Villa Park. Unfortunately, the player move to Etihad this summer and the Villa fans for obvious reasons were not happy with the midfielder’s choice. Even he was termed as a ‘snake’ who betrayed the club.

So while travelling to San Marino, on the flight Raheem Sterling took an image of Fanian Delph an himself and uploaded on popular social media Instagram. The striking part was that Sterling in the description gave to emojis of a snake and travelling to on a plane, which hinted that the two snakes where on a plane travelling.

It is not hard to guess that it was a jibe which was intended towards Villa and Liverpool fans.
