Liverpool fans were give some great news after their win over West Bromwich Albion last weekend.

The Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp spoke about the return of one Steven Gerrard and revealed that the doors at Anfield are always open for the club legend.

“You cannot imagine how welcome so absolutely no problem, but everything we will talk to each other about will stay in these talks. That is how I know Stevie and that is how I am. Nobody should be worried that we don’t have space for Steven Gerrard. Everything will be fine, 100%,” he added.

This has seen the fans of the club celebrate the homecoming of their hero after a couple of years away from the club.

The 36-year old was not offered a new contract at the end of the 2014-15 season. He joined the MLS outfit LA Galaxy in July last year but has not been able to lift any silverware in his time in the US.

However, he posted a picture with a  message on Instagram which was a kind of a farewell message to his fans for LA Galaxy and seemed to have announced the end of his career there.

Here is his Instagram post that read, “Living in Los Angeles and playing for the great Galaxy supporters has been a privilege. You have made this place feel like home to me. This city and this club will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you.”

So it is now all but sure that Steven Gerrard will be back at the Merseyside in no time and this will bring big smiles on the faces of the fans of the club.

However, reports today may make that happiness short lived as it is now reported that Gerrard may also be in the running for a coaching role for the country.

It is now understood that FA has already spoken with Steven Gerrard about a chance to coach the younger age groups in the country.

Henry Winter, a reputed journalist has revealed that the FA are desperate for an Englishman to take over the smaller age groups in the country and want to offer Gerrard to chance to do so may be even in this year.

during the MLS match at StubHub Center on March 6, 2016 in Carson, California.

“This is not just about Liverpool,” Winter said.

“There are ramifications for England as well. At some point he will get involved with one of the England age groups teams. Maybe he will occasionally appear with the senior team because that would be fantastic for the younger players,” he added.

He went on to explain that it was important for the FA to hand the job to an Englishman and that Gerrard might be a perfect candidate for the job.

“The plan is to get him involved with some of the England age groups. There have been discussions,” he said.

“It’s sensible because we have all this experience. Whatever, you think of the Golden Generation the fact is they’ve got a huge amount of knowledge and they’ve got so much to give,” he added.

Whatever might be his role back in England, Steven Gerrard is coming back to the country and Liverpool fans will hope that he stays with the club for a long –long time.
