Liverpool legend and former captain Steven Gerrard, who just joined Major League Soccer side Los Angeles Galaxy, is not happy with the situation of Raheem Sterling.
On Thursday 9th June, the former Liverpool man called for a higher level of professionalism from the 20 year old want away Liverpool star.

“I’m not happy with all that carry-on and I don’t think there’s any need for it. They all need to be men about the situation,” Gerrard said.
“Raheem needs to go in and speak to the owners and to Brendan [Rodgers] himself, tell them what he wants and go about it that way. You don’t have to throw illnesses in and refuse to go on tour.
“There are millions and millions of Liverpool fans around the world who are itching to see Raheem Sterling in a Liverpool kit. So I don’t think it’s fair on them if he is behaving like that.”
The transfer saga of Raheem Sterling is getting more and more interesting day by day and most Liverpool fans are irritated with the contract rebel.
Sterling denied to sign a contract with the Reds at the end of last season and his agent stated that his client will not sign an extension at the Merseyside club even if they offer him £900k per week.
The player along with his agent stated many times in public that he will not stay and Anfield and will join Manchester City.
Manchester City were also interested in the English international but failed to land him to Etihad seeing two of their bids believed to be £30 million and £40 million respectively by Brendan Rodgers side.
Reports say that the Sky Blues are not willing to match Liverpool’s valuation for the player which is £50 million.
Sterling took it to another level of unprofessionalism when he did not join training with the club by calling in sick for 2 consecutive days.
He formerly threatened his employers to go on strike if Liverpool do not let him join Manchester City and also said that he would go on strike.
Gerrard also took his time to speak about Jordan Henderson who is set to be named captain after Steven moved to Galaxy after a 12 year spell as captain of his boyhood club.

“Jordan’s been loyal to the club by signing a new deal and I wish him well,” Gerrard told BBC Sport.
“Raheem and Jordan are at different ends of the scale,” said Gerrard. “Jordan’s so professional, he’s a winner, a great lad.
“I don’t think there’s a more fitting player to take that armband off me.
“I see a lot of my game in Jordan’s game and what I like about him is he’s very humble.”
Gerrard said he expected Henderson, 25, to have a “wonderful career” for Liverpool and England.
On Wednesday, former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher said Sterling was “starting to get a reputation that could be hard to rid himself of in the future”.
With former legends and fans against himself and Manchester City hesitating to bid £50 million for him, Sterling will have a hard time if Liverpool takes disciplinary action against the 20 year old wideman.
