Liverpool star Luis Suarez today suffered an injury in training, according to reports from Uruguay.

According to Uruguayan journalist Martin Charquero, Luis Suarez felt discomfort during training, and scans later revealed he has damaged his meniscus. The recovery time is generally 4-6 weeks and he should be ready for the World Cup, but the doctors can’t confirm the severity right now. The injury was later confirmed by Paolo Suarez, brother of Luis Suarez, and local newspaper tenfield.com.

Uruguay fans will be expecting someting similar from Luis Suarez, when they face England, Italy and Costa Rica in the group stages. Luis Suarez ended the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign as top scorer in the South American section with 11 goals. Suarez won Copa America with Uruguay and was named Player of the Tournament.
