According to The Sun’s sports journalist Dan King, Sunderland are set to finalise two impressive loan deals in coming days with Fabio Borini from Liverpool and Adnan Januzaj from Manchester United.

Sunderland squad is comparitively much weaker than other Premier League midtable clubs and are one of the favourites to face relegation at the end of the season.

They started the 2015-16 season in a disastrous fashion with a 4-2 loss against Leicester city and are poised to make reinforcements in the squad.

Sunderland were so bad in the first half, manager Dick Advocaat admitted in his post match presser than he was “scared” during the opening 45 minutes against the Foxes.

Fabio Borini spent a loan spell at the stadium of Light in the 2013-14 season and became a hero for the Black Cats by saving relegation in the last few matches of the season. The Italian striker is out of favour at Liverpool with the arrival of Christian Benteke, Danny Ings and Divock Origi. He has been also told to train on his own separately from Liverpool’s first team.

Meanwhile, 20 year old Belgian wonderkid Adnan Januzaj is also looking surplus at Old Trafford with the arrival of Memphis Depay. Despite having a breakthrough 2013-14 season at the Theater of Dreams, he saw his gametime reduced under Louis van Gaal last season.

According to King, Borini is “all but done” while Januzaj’s move is “looking hopeful”.

Sunderland return to action this weekend with a home match at the Stadium of Light against Premier League new boys Norwich.
