Arsenal Fans Are Furious With Wenger, But This Surprising Stats May Hold Some Hope For Them 1

Arsenal have seen a huge decline in their form in the past two months and even the optimistic of fans are not so happy with the Gunners’ campaign at this point of the season.

The Gunners have failed to continue their dominance in the league as their slip-ups in December and January ensured they are almost out of the tile race despite having a minor chance of making it a close affair if their cross-city rivals see a dip in the form in the upcoming weeks.

Despite once again throwing off their campaign, the Gunners have performed brilliantly so far and are currently in the midst of some of the best form in their entire history.

Wenger led Arsenal have looked more complete this season despite having few hiccups in their league campaign. The Gunners have managed to top their group and remained unbeaten in Champions League so far and will face Bayern Munich on Wednesday. They also have looked decent in EFL Cup before being knocked out and have a good chance to make a deep run in FA Cup.

According to findings by Opta’s Orbinho, the current team is up there with the best teams in the history of Arsenal as they are enjoying the third best win percentage.

Arsenal’s best win percentage was 66% which was way back in 1930/31 season which is followed by 65% in their double winning season of 2001/2002.

Here is the look at the best win percentages Arsenal have managed in their history:

1930/31- 66%

2001/02- 65%

2016/17 (ongoing)- 64%

1970/71- 64%

2014/15- 63%

2013/14- 63%

2003/04- 63%

Despite the criticism on Wenger, the club are going in the right direction as they have managed to do things on par with that team containing the likes of Thierry Henry and Robert Pires at their peak.

They are also actually ahead of the win percentage managed by the club during the invincible season. However, despite their increased level of football, it remains to be seen if the club can manage any silverware at the end of the season.
