Surprise Stats Suggest Arsenal Sold The Wrong Player Last Summer
Arsenal reject Snarge Gnabry looks to find his form at Bundesliga club Werder Bremen after making a move from Emirates earlier this season.
The young German was expected to be part of the squad this season under Arsene Wenger after his incredible performances at Rio Olympics. But instead he was sold to Werder and the 21-year old has been a regular for the Bundesliga club in Germany.
He was also awarded a chance in the national team after his impressive performances for Bremen this season. His incredible run meant Arsenal has yet again manage to slip another huge talent from their hands.
After moving to Emirates in 2014, Gnabry found chances hard to come by and have shown flashes of brilliance whenever given an opportunity but the German was never given a clear run in his two years at the club.
Arsenal have lacked the creativity in the wide areas despite Alex Iwobi, Theo Walcott and Oxlade Chamberlain have all showed their brilliance at times throughout the season. But surprise stats from Squawka suggest that Gnabry has been doing much better than the trio and what will be more amazing is that he is managing these stats playing with the team that is fighting relegation in Bundesliga.
Gnabry has scored 10 goals this season which is ahead of Walcott (8) but is miles ahead of Alex Iwobi(3) and Ox-Chamberlain(2). He is also the best chance creator having creating 30 chances for the German club so far this season.
The German would have been an perfect option for Arsenal should they have kept him as he is impressing with these stats with Bremen who are currently at 17th place in the 18-team Bundesliga. His stats would have been much better if he had worked around Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil but instead he remains another major talent who was rejected by Arsene Wenger.
