Toni Kroos has spent Christmas in London, prompting claims he would join Chelsea.
The Real Madrid midfielder posted a picture outside Hamley’s top shop in Soho, central London, on Christmas Eve.
Kroos also posted a picture enjoying the festivities at Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park last week.
And The Sun claim Kroos’ trip to the capital has fuelled speculation he could make a surprise move to Chelsea in January.
Kroos is currently on a winter break after helping Real Madrid win the FIFA Club World Cup in Japan.
Real Madrid do not play again until January 4 when they host Sevilla in the Copa del Rey.
Therefore, Kroos’ visit to London may simply be a holiday.
However, the 26-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League before.
Kroos told German newspaper Die Welt in 2014: “[Real] Madrid, Bayern [Munich], Barcelona and Chelsea are the four biggest clubs at the moment, so I would only have swapped one for another.”
And David Moyes recently admitted he had agreed on a deal to bring Kroos to Old Trafford before he was sacked as Manchester United manager in April 2014.
Meanwhile, Tuttosport claims Juventus are prepared to sanction a Gonzalo Higuain like bid in an attempt to land Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos.
The Italian giants are still looking for a long-term replacement for Andrea Pirlo and have identified Kroos as his successor.
The Germany playmaker, who has a €300 million release clause, recently signed a new deal to extend his stay at the Bernabeu to 2022 but Juventus believe an offer of €90m could turn a few heads and tempt Real Madrid into selling.
