In one of the most shocking sackings ever, Heynckes who led Real Madrid to their first European Cup since 1996 with a win over Juventus in 1998, gave Real Madrid the start to their glory days at the moment. However, they struggled in the domestic league and Heynckes was sacked straight after winning Europe’s biggest trophy, after just a season in charge at the Bernabeu.
