OMG!! Arsenal Accused Of Misleading Fans With Fake News 1

Arsenal are being heavily criticized for exaggerating their attendance figures in the last weekend’s Premier League game against Hull City.

Despite having large number of seats empty at Emirates in their early kick off against Hull, the official announcement has been reported as 59,692 which is just 663 short of the total capacity of Emirates stadium.

However, the fans have fumed over the attendance figures with vast of empty seats seen throughout the course of the game.

Speaking to MirrorSport, an AST (Arsenal Supporters’ Trust) spokesman said:”They’re deliberately misleading people because they use the word attendance and it’s clearly not attendance.

“What they’re giving you is tickets sold. They do know what the real attendance figure is and sometimes we’re able to get hold of it.

“It’s obviously guess work using the naked eye but I could tell it was around 50,000 because I know what was recorded for previous games and could work out the equivalent. The club ought to stop hiding behind a fake attendance and start addressing the real reasons.”

There has been claims that they are also nearly 10,000 seats which were empty in the game against Hull. However, one of the senior officials at the club has admitted it  was “disappointing” to see so many empty seats in the Emirates but has dismissed claims about 10000 empty seats.

Arsenal have managed a hard-fought 2-0 victory against Hull City and have ensured to be in the top 4 at the end of the weekend. However, they are 10 points adrift of the league leaders Chelsea and have very minor chances of winning the league.

The Gunners will now face Bayern Munich in arguably their most important game of the season as they look to eliminate the German giants to book a place in the quarterfinals for the first time since 2010.
