The loss at the Hawthorns has pushed Arsenal further down the points table as they now find themselves at the sixth place, six points off Liverpool currently in the fourth place in the points table.
The manager will be frustrated by the lack of performances from his side this season and this has seen his place at the club come under scrutiny even after two decades of service at the Emirates.
Arsene Wenger will remain one of the best managers who has ever taken charge of the London outfit and there is every chance he might stay at the club beyond this season.
But the Frenchman has a fair number of problems in the squad at the moment.
Injuries to key players has, like every season, hampered Arsenal’s progress but Wenger has had to deal with the contract negotiations of some of the biggest stars at the club.
The likes of Alexis Sanchez and Oxlade-Chamberlain are both unsettled at the Emirates at the moment and have been constantly linked with an exit recently.
But one player who looks like he might be on his way out of the club this summer is German playmaker Mesut Ozil.
After a record-breaking campaign last time around, Ozil made a sizzling start to this season which saw him score his first hat-trick.
However, since the turn of the year, he has been abysmal and his performances in games like Bayern have shown that he is not the big game player that Arsenal needs.
He has just a year left on his contract at the end of the season and Wenger is desperate to get him to sign a new deal but Ozil is reportedly weighing up his options at the end of the season.
Reports suggest that Manchester United and Barcelona could be interested in his signature but a story from the Telegraph reveals today that Turkish outfit Fenerbahce are ready to offer the 28-year old an escape route this summer.
According to these reports, Fenerbahce is set to lose former Arsenal star Robin van Persie at the end of the season and that they have identified the German as the perfect replacement come the start of the next season.
Ozil cost Arsenal a club record £42.5m back in 2013 but with just a year remaining on the contract, he may well be available at just £30m this summer.
But do you think Ozil will move to Turkey, his homeland this summer?
